Ewiva!, a Hip-Hop artist and songwriter, was born as Aviwe Ndyalivane. He prides himself on being a rap purist at heart, which he conveys ever so well in his music. He was born and raised in Cape Town, and the music he produces is often vivid social commentary on his surroundings and the living conditions of the masses in the city. Being from Gugulethu and living in the Southern Suburbs has given him a broader, more informed perspective that has shaped how he navigates through life, even beyond his beloved hometown.
On his journey, Ewiva! has explored a lot more of his talents such as creatively directing all his ventures musically and stylistically. As an independent artist, he has had to be creative in how he makes his presence felt, which led to the birth of his brainchild “900* FOREVA” under which he puts his music out. Heavily influenced by the likes of Kanye West, he too possesses a die-hard attitude toward presenting the world with new ideas locally and internationally through music. This is the same attitude that recently earned him an invite to tour across Europe with UK-based rapper and singer IAMDDB.
Ewiva! has made sure his supporters are well catered for over the years with releases such as
“D-Town Flow” where he, alongside Orish, rap over a bouncy Detroit Style production by 808
Bambino, to “ITHINI IWAY” where he and K. KEED rap over a drill type beat, and more recently
“Stuck 2 Me” taken from the 900 Fridays project” and the viral sensation “ZWAKALA” where he
samples a classic Stimela song on a drill beat.
