G-STAR unveils the latest edition of ARCHETYPES, an elevated expression of the brand’s DNA. Released twice a year, this exclusive capsule brings together G-STAR’s rich archive, carefully selected fabrics and exceptional craftsmanship.
Denim is at the heart of ARCHETYPES, with a considered selection of complementary pieces built around it. Drawing on G-STAR’s archive of military clothing and workwear, the collection refines familiar silhouettes through precise construction, considered proportions and modern materials. Every piece reflects the brand’s functional approach to design, with particular attention to fabric, fit and finish.
“ARCHETYPES brings together the best of G-STAR: our archive, our denim expertise and our approach to construction. We take the pieces that define us and elevate the fabrics, fit and finish. These designs are made to be worn for years and get better with age.” – Gwenda van Vliet, Chief Brand Officer, G-STAR
The women’s denim selection includes ARC Loose, ARC Slim and Radar Loose fits. Complementary pieces include the G-S072 Hourglass, which reinterprets French workwear through asymmetrical pockets, a belted waist and a sculpted silhouette.
The G-S058 Flight Bomber draws on the early-1950s N-2B flight jacket, retaining its cropped length and split hood. For men, the denim selection includes ARC Loose, ARC Tapered and Deeggie fits. The G-S055 Utility Radar Loose revisits G-STAR’s original Radar, designed by Pierre Morisset. Around this denim foundation, the Battle Jacket reworks a 1930s military reference into a shorter, belted silhouette. The G-S031 Duffel Coat, G-S033 Leather Chore Jacket and G-S034 Hybrid Bomber complete the outerwear selection, alongside the Balloon Chino.
Material and construction define ARCHETYPES. Ottanio Selvedge Denim and Coma Coated Canvas bring texture and substance to the collection, complemented by raw, faded and crossover washes. Fabrics are selected for their character, durability and the way they develop with wear.
Precise construction and careful finishing create garments designed to remain relevant beyond
seasons. ARCHETYPES draws on G-STAR’s legacy to shape pieces for today – and for years to come. Available globally from November 3 at selected retailers and on g-star.com.
