The Game celebrates 10 Year Anniversary of ‘The Documentary’

It’s crazy to think that it’s been 10 years since The Game released his classic first album The Documentary.

Produced by Dr.Dre and executively produced by 50 cent and Eminem it’s no wonder that the album was widely regarded as the comeback of the west coast.

Features included Nate Dogg, Busta Rhymes, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, 50, Em, Faith Evans and production by Dream, Timbaland, Sctoo Storch, Cool n Dre., Kanye West and Just Blaze, among others.

The album sold was released on 10 January 2004. It sold half a million in its first week, was certified platinum by March 2004 and has sold over 5 million units do date.

Since then, Game has waged war on his former G-unit boss and members, made a 15 minute diss track, left Aftermath, released 5 albums and a whole lot in between. But nothing can be taken away from what The Documentary contributed to the culture. So if you’re on of the millions who copped the album back then, go home today, put your wife-beater and All Stars on, sit back and give it a listen in its honour.
