As Strictly Soul enters a new season, the R&B platform is taking its movement beyond the dancefloor. With new territories, digital platforms and live experiences, the brand continues to connect artists, audiences and communities through a shared love for R&B.
Following its successful Zimbabwe debut in Harare earlier this year, Strictly Soul is heading to Bulawayo for the first time on 18 September 2026 at Kings Kraal. The movement is also going international, with Berlin, Germany, officially joining the Strictly Soul family. The Berlin edition takes place on 23 October 2026 at MAAYA, marking another major step in the platform’s expansion across Europe.
What started as an R&B celebration is evolving into a wider cultural platform. The Strictly Soul Cypher is a monthly series spotlighting the artists shaping the future of South African R&B. Selected artists are given a beat to interpret creatively, with the final studio sessions released as visual performances across Strictly Soul’s social platforms and YouTube. Then there’s Strictly Soul Privé, a more intimate experience focused on New School, Alternative and South African R&B. Through album listening sessions and live performances, Privé creates space for music discovery and deeper connections between artists and fans.
Strictly Soul is also taking the culture beyond the music through Strictly Speaking, its podcast exploring the stories and creatives behind the songs. The series kicked off with Masego as its inaugural guest, setting the tone for honest conversations and deeper connections with the culture. The relationship with Masego didn’t stop there. Strictly Soul recently presented its first international-act concert, bringing the artist’s Fix Your Face Tour to Johannesburg and further proving the appetite for premium international R&B experiences in South Africa.
From Bulawayo to Berlin, cyphers to concerts, and podcasts to intimate listening sessions, Strictly Soul is building an ecosystem around R&B. The mission remains simple: create spaces where R&B can be heard, experienced, celebrated and pushed forward.
