Jägermeister’s global SAVE THE NIGHT initiative is putting South African nightlife on the global map, with Cape Town-based Ses’fikile named one of only four winners of the 2025 SAVE THE NIGHT Fund.
Selected from nearly 1,000 applications across 62 countries, Ses’fikile joins winning projects from the Netherlands, Portugal and Mexico. The initiative will receive funding and support to help create safer, more inclusive and conscious nightlife experiences. For Ses’fikile, the focus is on one of South African nightlife’s biggest conversations: getting people home safely after a night out. The initiative will introduce dedicated safe exit and pick-up zones, mobile charging stations, hydration points and increased security around key departure areas.
“Being selected for the SAVE THE NIGHT Fund gives us an opportunity to work towards a solution created by people who understand our community,” says Shakes Mbolekwana of Ses’fikile.
More than just supporting the party, the partnership represents a shift towards investing in the people and solutions shaping the future of nightlife. Because a memorable night shouldn’t end when the music stops — it should end when everyone gets home safely.
