Jaca Mf2 Returns After a Decade With New EP, Inversion

After a decade away from releasing music, Jaca Mf2 is stepping back into the spotlight with Inversion, a four-track EP set for release on 16 September 2026 through his own label, Talent Room Afrika.

More than just a new project, Inversion marks a reintroduction to the music industry and the beginning of a new chapter for Jaca Mf2. The EP explores themes of reinvention, self-connection and becoming the person you want to be, translating a deeply personal journey into storytelling and feel-good music.  Behind the Jaca Mf2 name is Sibusiso Jaca, a producer and filmmaker from Pietermaritzburg, where he is based. His sound moves across deep house, Afro house and deep tech, while drawing from other genres to create a broader take on house music.

His return comes after years of industry experience and collaborations, with Inversion representing a renewed relationship with the music itself. Rather than simply picking up where he left off, Jaca Mf2 is using this chapter to explore where he is now.  The four-track EP opens with “Again”, followed by “Webaba,” “Call Me” and the title track “Inversion.” Together, the songs capture the project’s central idea: sometimes stepping away from the noise is what allows you to reconnect with yourself and find your way back to the art.

After ten years without a release, Jaca Mf2 is not simply returning. He is reintroducing himself on his own terms.
