Apple Music has expanded its flagship African Music playlist and radio brand, Africa Now, by including a new monthly DJ Mix exclusively created for the platform. The Nigerian Grammy Award-winning producer and DJ, Rexxie (real name Ezeh Chisom Faith), is the next artist to create an Africa Now DJ Mix. Rexxie has become the undeniable voice of the streets, and his soundtracks are known for their expert fusion of street hop, gqom, pop, and amapiano. He has been credited with the birth of afrobeats sub-genres zanku and afropiano.
As Marlian Music’s resident producer, Rexxie has created numerous era-defining tracks that have influenced the rise of afropop. Rexxie says, “It’s an honor to curate this amazing playlist for the culture.
