U.S. Marine veteran turned R&B/neo-soul artist King Takeshii is closing out 2026 with new music and literature. The Orlando-based singer, songwriter, producer and author has released three singles, “Wait,” “Nicotine Dream” and “Desire,” ahead of his forthcoming album Tsunami.
Blending soulful melodies with hard-hitting 808s, “Wait” and “Nicotine Dream” feature collaborator Clay Léon, showcasing Takeshii’s modern R&B sound. Beyond music, he’s stepping into children’s literature with Speak Up: Tyler’s Fight Against A Bully, launched in October 2026. The book encourages young readers to stand up against bullying and includes a discussion guide for parents and teachers.
From serving in the U.S. Marine Corps to building his independent label, Real Entertainment Records, King Takeshii continues to expand his creative reach across music, publishing and youth mentorship.
