Kanye West’s latest album, Ye, has become a massive success even though all the controversy prior to it’s release. Now Billboard has reported that Kanye sold about 208,000 album equivalent sales of Ye in the first week which easily placed him at number one on the Billboard 200 chart, and is now the fifth largest album debut this year. The Ye album has also become his eight consecutive album to hit number one on the charts which ties him with Eminem and The Beatles for the same reach. He also ties with Eminem for the second highest amount of number 1 hip hop albums in general, beaten only by Jay Z who had 14 to his name.
