So Nike is gearing up to launch a new deconstructed Air Jordan 1. These two ultra-clean iterations of the Air Jordan 1 High have been stripped down and zippered up. The women’s exclusive “Zip” model replaces the familiar laced vamp with a full-length golden zipper, with the simplified closure and rear pull tab. With no eyelets, contrasting panels or medial side Swoosh, the white and black iterations both offer simplified detailing that complements the sleek zipper detail and aside from the usual Air Jordan 1 embossed logo, the obvious branding is a red “Nike Air” flag on the side of the tall shoes’ ankle opening.
