Last night hip hop’s new hustle king was crowned when KwaZulu-Natal’s Flex Rabanyan was officially named the winner of The Hustle season two, at Braamfontein’s Shine Studios. In one of the most talked about events on the local music calendar, the much-anticipated second season of The Hustle reached a climax tonight with Flex Rabanyan named winner after a tightly fought contest with Johannesburg’s Josh The I Am . Flex’s victory was decided through public votes on WeChat, and audited by Deloitte. This means in being crowned SA’s newest king of hip hop, Flex walks off with a R 250 000 cash prize, and an Opel Corsa Sport.
“We’re in the business of uncovering raw talent and turning them into superstars. The number of original artists and their newfound success attests to what we’ve set out to achieve. Congrats to Flex on a very deserved win, and to Josh for taking it all the way to the end. A big shout out also goes to the amazing sponsors KFC and Opel for making the show possible.” – VUZU AMP’s Head of Reality, Sphumelele Sibeko
