PUMA Supports Young Local Artists Through SELECT x STORIES Exhibition Series

PUMA South Africa prepares to launch their second SELECT x STORIES exhibition featuring works by music artists Adelle Nqeto and Thando Sibanyoni at the PUMA SELECT Store in Braamfontein this week Saturday 12 November 2016.

This exhibition will be the second in a series featuring 6 young artists, selected by Mpumi Mfula (A.K.A FryPan), Sly Creative and PUMA depicting their unique view of The Streets. For this particular exhibition Nqeto and Sibanyoni were equipped with vlogging equipment for a week to document their careers, shows, challenges that face them as artists and the general day to day happenings of their lives. The works, incorporating PUMA product in some shape or form, will be on display at the the PUMA SELECT store in Braamfontein on Saturday between 4 – 7pm. In addition to the exhibition, Frypan will be interviewing Nqeto and Sibanyoni at the event.

The SELECT x STORIES series showcases creations by up and coming artists across various categories, including Animation, Film, Photography, Illustration/Design, Mix Tape/Performance and Music Video. PUMA provides the artists with financial support as well as a space to exhibit and grow their communities.  All works are available for purchase post exhibition at RHTC Online Store.

“By offering financial investment and a space to display artistic work, we’re creating an opportunity for young artists to break into their respective industries,” – PUMA South Africa Marketing Director, Brett Bellinger
