Ever since Yanga dropped the infamous hook on AKA’s 2014 banger ‘Run Jozi’, it’s been all systems go; following up with viral freestyles and his single ‘Awathyam’ which has gotten him a fair amount of buzz.
What most may not know is that Yanga, along with his Young Legend Films imprint is also responsible for shooting and directing the ‘Run Jozi’ video. In fact, Yanga spent many years working behind the scenes as director and has shot many big videos, most noticeably a chunk Slikour’s, whom he worked closely with for years. More recently, Yanga has put his lens to wok on new Kid X’s ‘Cooler bag’ video, K.O’s ‘No Fear’ video.
An accomplished creative behind the scenes, Yanga now assumes his position in the recording booth hoping to make a noteworthy impact as a rapper. Judging by this AKA and Kid X assisted single, we’d say he’s off to a pretty good start.
