Gucci Mane just can’t seem to stay out of trouble. The latest in the troubled rapper’s life is that he is among the defendants named on a wrongful death lawsuit.
The Atlanta rapper is being sued by the father of slain rapper Mario “Slim Dunkin” Hamilton. Slim Dunkin, who was affiliated with Gucci Mane’s Brick Squad, was shot and killed in 2011 while preparing to shoot a music video with Gucci.
In February, rapper Vinson Hardimon, also known as Young Vito, was arrested for Dunkin’s murder, but was acquitted of the murder charge. He was found guilty of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and gun possession charges, and was sentenced to 25 years in prison.
According to the lawsuit claims, Dunkin was preparing to shoot a video with Gucci when Young Vito or someone associated with him accused Dunkin of messing with Vito’s candy. The fight then broke out, which later led to Dinkin being shot to death.
Gucci Mane is currently in jail on gun charges.
