Hlukani Rikhotso, Sprite Brand Manager: “Sprite affords aspiring talent an exciting and unique opportunity to engage with legends in the game and be mentored in a place which gave birth to this great art of expression.”
Globally, Sprite has been associated with various programmes encouraging individualism, from basketball to hip hop. Locally, Sprite as an icon of true self-expression is using the hip hop platform to unearth the country’s uncontainable masters of three disciplines; dance, emcee and graffiti.
How it basically unfolds is that 8 people from the audition phase will get selected by renowned judges Reason. Falko & Simba in each category. They will be mentored by the judges in July ending the month off with a HOT semi-final on 27 July, bringing the number from 8 to 4 in each category.
The ALL LOCAL finale goes down in August and HYPE will be the first to hit you up with ALL the juicy details. No – there ain’t no NAS performing – but fans will be treated to the BEST local hip hop talent the country has to offer – with HUGE surprises in store! You don’t wanna miss out. Believe the HYPE!
Constant updates coming your way! Stay tuned and be uncontainable ya dig!
