South African music is surely an amazing thing to be listening to right now and theres one South African EDM/House music producer from the mother city of Cape Town in South Africa that caught my attention.
His Coming from a humble background of musical bloodline which runs in the family, he is the last Born child of the well known late Cape Town jazz piano maestro “Michael Peter Martin” who composed the single (CT Blues) which is from (Basil Coetzee’s) Studio Album “Sabenza”, he made music and played out at gigs with his friends such as Jonathan Butler ,Taliep Petersen & Robbie Jansen. Etc.
His father plays a huge role as to why he started music, His dad gifted him a piano that was passed down to him. It didn’t have any sentimental value until his dad gift him the piano which made music a special bond behind him and his late father. His mother Carol Martin was a stay at home mom who looked after him and his sibling while his father was the breadwinner of the house.
B Major is the creator of his own sound and style as you can hear in his demo songs titled “B Major – Finger Prints” and “B Major – It Was A Dream (Official Audio), which was officially released in 2020 after his Debut EP “Lemonade” which at the time was only available on YouTube. Until the EP found a home at Lemon Music ZA, a startup record label which was founded by the musical prodigy B Major & Entrepreneur Emile Ashley.
The music producer himself had a few comments about his nomination at the 021 music awards and this is what he had to say…
“I’m very honoured to even receive this nomination because I wasn’t expecting anything at all, I know I work hard at everything I do but I feel like I could’ve worked a little bit harder for the year 2020 despite the everyday struggles we face as people.
But i have been nominated for an award which is a really big deal in any industry you work. This is God’s hands at work and I honestly couldn’t have been more grateful and proud of myself for even just receiving the nomination.
This couldn’t have been possible without God and my everyday peoples.
Thank you for your support and votes, every vote helps me get one step closer to achieving my dreams and goals, I can truly say with all my heart Thank you to everyone for the love and support it is the reason I make good music”.
Voting line are open until the 5 June 2021.
The same Mobile device/Sim Card can vote as many of times as they want for the nominee of the choice.
