Bjorn Martin, who goes by the stage name B Major or B Major SA, is a South African EDM/House music producer known for his unique sound and style in the “downtempo” genre. His singles “Finger Prints” and “It Was A Dream” can be found on streaming platforms such as Tunes and Spotify.

In 2020, Martin made his debut in the music industry with his EP “Lemonade,” which was released on the independent record label Lemon Music ZA. Martin is the youngest child of the late jazz and blues piano maestro Michael Peter Martin, who was a composer and friend to Cape Jazz legends such as Basil Mannenberg Coetzee and Robbie Jansen. Michael composed the single “CT Blues” from Basil Coetzee’s studio album “Sabenza.”

Martin was nominated for the Producer of the Year award at the 021 Music Awards hosted by City Awards in 2021. When asked about his nomination, Martin expressed his gratitude and said, “I’m truly honored to have received this nomination because I wasn’t expecting anything close to a nomination at least not yet. I know I work hard at everything I do, but I feel like I could’ve worked harder for the year 2020. But I have been noticed and nominated as a music producer, and that showed me that my hard work will never go unnoticed, no matter how small my contribution is to the music industry. This is God’s hands at work, and I honestly couldn’t have been more grateful and proud of myself for this achievement. Thank you for your support and votes; every vote helps me get one step closer to achieving my dreams and goals. I can truly say with all my heart thank you to everyone for the love and support; it is the reason I make good music.”
