Warehouse Boys – An Award-Winning South African Business Worth Knowing

Michael Kekana and Lethabo Mokotedi successfully run Warehouse Boys – a cutting-edge manufacturing Black-owned company that recently made social media headlines by how they overcame the struggle of having their business burn down, just to rebuild it back up again.

Started in 2023 and operating from Pretoria, Warehouse Boys have created a resilient, multi-million-rand business that now employs young South Africans in various departments.  With no formal training, the Warehouse Boys have impressively created an admirable company that specializes in the creation of intricate steel cut designs.  The team of skilled workers at Warehouse Boys use state-of-the-art technology and precision machinery that craft high-quality steel cut works, customized architectural elements and decorative pieces.   Amongst other offerings, Warehouse Boys designs and manufactures beautiful and bespoke signages and laser-cut screens for various uses. The focus and passion is on increasing the appeal of a select space.

By blending cutting-edge technology with artisanal skills, Warehouse Boys’ creations inspire and captivate – all while pursuing growth and excellence in every aspect of their business.  To be the leaders in steel cut design is their vision. They aim to transform spaces with their bespoke artworks, setting new standards in aesthetic and architectural innovation.

“Running a successful business in this industry has not been easy but we have persevered through all the ups and downs. We remain continuously proud of our journey and the team we have built with talent and skill, and look forward to what the future holds”, happily expresses the Warehouse Boys (Michael Kekana – Managing Director and Lethabo Mokotedi – Director).

Notably, Warehouse Boys scooped the Top Manufacturing Brand award at the 2025 Top 16 Youth-Owned Brand Awards (YOBA), for amongst other services, their exemplary and exceptional work done on studio sets such as the Podcast & Chill Network by MacG and face portraits for public figures such as DJ Sbu and Robot Boii.  Their full services include business signages, steel cut addresses, backlight addresses and signages, architectural screens, face portraits, as well as indoor signages.
