Lloyiso Returns with Soul-Stirring New Single “Scary”

South African soulful-pop sensation Lloyiso has released his brand-new single, “Scary,” the lead track from his forthcoming EP, Never Thought I Could.  Described by Lloyiso as the “perfect breakup song,” “Scary” dives deep into the vulnerability of love, timing, and regret. Inspired by his own breakup, the song narrates the story of two lovers whose timing never aligned — when his partner was ready to receive love, he was consumed by work and unable to give fully. Now that he’s finally ready, she’s no longer available. The song’s haunting honesty and emotional resonance capture the raw depth fans have come to expect from Lloyiso.

Speaking on the single, Lloyiso explains:

Scary is my honest admission that I wasn’t emotionally ready to give my whole heart, even though I physically wanted to. It’s a breakup with my past love, my old self, and my old ways — a reminder that love alone isn’t enough. You need time and self-awareness to truly love yourself before you can love someone else, and to be strong enough to say, ‘It was never about them; it was always about me.’

With “Scary,” Lloyiso continues to cement his place as one of the most captivating voices in modern soulful pop. His seamless blend of soaring vocals, heartfelt storytelling, and cinematic production once again showcases his unmatched ability to translate personal pain into universal emotion.
