Heineken® Shifts Gears In SA With A Formula 1® Inspired Racetrack Collection

As a Global Partner of Formula 1®, Heineken® is launching a Special Edition Track Bottle boasting a track-inspired design celebrating F1® circuits from around the world. 

Available from 01 October, these six Special-Edition bottles and cans spotlight some of the most legendary locations on the Formula 1® circuit and were made for the discerning collector of F1® memorabilia. Featuring tracks from Canada, Spain, the Netherlands, Brazil, Great Britain, and Italy – this range brings the track to the fan in the most spectacularly refreshing way.

With a global fanbase of 827 million, Formula 1® is racing ahead.  The fanbase also continues to get younger, with 43% now being under 35. Global growth in this segment is huge, with Formula 1® estimating a growth of 51 million fans under 35 on a year-on-year basis.  

“This campaign is a global celebration, with Heineken rolling out bottles to drum up excitement and passion for F1®, in a way where nobody is excluded,” says Alex Drake Heineken® Brand Director South Africa. “With the Special Edition Track Bottles, we wanted to bring the premium F1® experience home, celebrating the sport we all know and love.”

As part of this experience, Heineken® and Formula 1® will bring a World Tour to cities around the world, with a stop in Cape Town on 30 November 2025. The World Tour is a one-of-a-kind event that puts fans at the heart of the action, featuring an actual F1® race car on the streets, premium lifestyle experiences, and plenty of photo opportunities. Drake says the Special-Edition Track Bottles allow fans to engage with the premium Formula 1® lifestyle while socialising with friends, bringing the speed, thrill, and sophistication of the world’s most iconic motorsport to everyday moments.

The Special Edition Track Bottles are only the first launch off the grid. Formula 1® fans can also look forward to the Luxurious Marble Circus, where Heineken will be launching the super exclusive F1®-inspired bottle. Hosted at GROUND The Venue in Muldersdrift, Gauteng on 4/5 October, take a lap through an F1® Heineken experience that brings the sport to the fans.

Whether you’re hosting a watch party, enjoying a night out with friends, or appreciating the thrill of the sport, the Special Edition Track Bottles is just another example of Heineken® bringing the global F1® experience to South African fans.”

Since 2016, Heineken® has played a key role in celebrating and amplifying the spectacle of Formula 1® through a range of activities, from at-track activations to immersive fan experiences around the world.

Beyond the Special-Edition designs, Drake proudly announces that Heineken® is doubling down on its commitment to South African fans. As part of its ongoing F1® sponsorship, the brand plans to roll out a range of local activations, fan experiences, and events, giving fans more ways to engage with the sport at home.

Drake reiterates the importance of responsible enjoyment, encouraging fans to choose moderation and enjoy responsibly – because when you drink, you should never drive.
