Known for her hard-hitting raps and razor-sharp delivery, StaticFlo keeps her flows airtight—even when venturing into experimental territory. Her latest single, Seven7, pays homage to the Kwaito and Bubblegum icons who shaped the soundtrack of her youth.
“Hip-Hop in South Africa is deeply influenced by our organic genres, and that’s something to be proud of,” says StaticFlo. “After searching abroad for inspiration, you realize that what truly makes you stand out is being authentically you.”

The title Seven7 reflects a common hood greeting, setting the tone for a journey through ikasi. StaticFlo salutes both fallen and living legends while asserting her skill, power, and sharp pen game.
Produced by her longtime collaborator Bencco, the track rides on a bass-heavy beat that StaticFlo attacks with precision. She calls out both fans and artists for their lack of direction, boldly asking on the hook: “Uhamba nam’ or uhamba nabo?”
