It’s natural that we’d seek out warmth as winter fast approaches. However, for Leigh Audrey, the goal is more than warm company, but rather meaningful connection connection as she croons over “Hold Me”. Enamored with the a lover, whose aura has charmed them, body and mind, Leigh Audrey sings with conviction over an acoustic guitar and percussion laden beat.
South African born and New York Film Academy trained, Leigh Audrey presents herself to the SA music scene with the release of her first single, “Hold Me”. Produced by Khimera and KFresh, the record clocks in just over 4 minutes, leaning heavily into Afropop and Alté soundscapes.
As a trained singer, dancer, and actress, Leigh is no stranger to long production times or rehearsal. However, in many of those instances, she’s been bringing the work of other creative artists to life. With this single, she’s experienced being at the forefront of the creative direction and production. Of the record she notes, “I’ve written, sung, performed, and listened to a lot of music in my life; but this one right here…is my first born.”
