Catching with one of the South African lyricists by the name of BlackAce just to catch up on what he’s been up to in 2024.
You need no introduction to South African hip-hop community, recently you dropped a single with Touchline, how is the feedback from the masses?
The people are showing a lot of love to the song, I know numbers aren’t the benchmark of a good song, but this song with Touchline is my highest streamed song, we hit 10K streams on Spotify in a week, which for me was crazy.
When are we getting the video for the song?
The video for the song is still in the works, however we do have a Visualizer dropping real soon.
Any new music you currently working on?
Yes indeed, I’ve got a new EP on the way titled Belly Of The Beast, it definitely is one to look out for…
Freestyles and Battles is what introduced us to you, what are the chances of us seeing you tapping back to that market?
In terms of freestyles, I’m killing frees every Friday at The #InnerCityCypher held at Bongz and Records in Braamfontein
Being more knowledgeable with the inside out of the industry now, what else can we expect from you in 2024?
What you can expect is more music and consistency, the one thing I’ve learnt is that it is the consistency of the water that breaks the rock and not the intensity, I’m more focused on constant growth as opposed to just having moments of growth.
