“Nah Nah Nah” is Chaise Williams’ latest single and wow… this song takes me back to the days I wanted to be a dancer, but that is a story for another day. The song is minimalistic in its production however the song carries an infectious energy that speaks to the core of what hip-hop is. In terms of eras, it takes me back to the snap era where oversized tees were the in thing. As much as I love the production, I was particularly impressed by his performance on the song.
Rappers tend to shy away from using different cadences but that isn’t the case for Chaise Williams. He effortlessly switches cadences throughout the song depending on which pocket he is intending on leading us to on the song, which makes for a unique listen. It’s like having features, without having features, if you know what I mean. Listen to the song below.
