If you are tapped into the local music scene then you will be well aware of the talent that is J Clu. The rapper first made his debut onto the music scene in 2019 and hasn’t looked back since with him growing from strength to strength with each release.
My favourite aspect of J Clu is his willingness to experiment with different sounds given his highly adaptable flow and delivery – which is virtually a cheat code. ‘Heavenly’ sees the rapper take a stab an electro inspired sound and despite J Clu being armed with a vicious flow, the rapper had the self awareness to understand when and where to let the beat breath, which is a skill most emerging artists struggle with.
