She may be only 25 years old but this rapper has been in the game for the past 10 years
Savakay hails from PTA (Eersterust to be exact), a fact that she is very proud of. She’s also a talented dancer, something you will be able to see in her upcoming music videos. ‘Mampara’ is a self-made anthem from her recent album, Most Wanted: The Album. It speaks of the struggles of growing up in the ‘hood’ and elaborates on how one cannot make it in the future without the help of peers, brothers and supporters.
How long have you been making music, and how did it start for you?
I have been making music since I was 16 years old. I used to make music with my producer Christopher Kadelfus, who introduced me to the music world.
If you could collaborate with any artist, who would you choose and why?
If I could collaborate with anyone it would definitely be K.Keed . I love her music and I love her originality. Furthermore, I think we would make a hit.
What is your proudest achievement to date?
My proudest achievement would be finishing my first studio album. Being an independent artist is not easy, and being able to finish an album with no management makes me very proud.
Which artist is, in your opinion, is the GOAT?
The GOAT? Honestly, I would say me. People don’t know what I am capable of yet and that excites me (especially being female).
What can we expect from you in the coming year?
I can’t say much but I am releasing something everyone is going to enjoy before winter.
