The 4 best PS games of 2022 so far

PlayStation 5 has been here for a while now and games had enough time to see which game performed the best for the last year. There are a lot of new games coming out in the near future but there are also many that you can play now and have fun. Some people think that PC games were more interesting in 2022 with the release of Elden Ring, but there are a few PS games that had a highlight this year.

Games like Resident Evil Village and Assassin’s Creed Valhalla took people by surprise and are on every top 10 list. It’s hard to make a list when there are so many different genres but it’s great that there is something for everyone’s needs. Even FIFA is working on new algorithms which you can learn more by reading sports news or by playing the game.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla

The game is an open-world RPG and it’s something new we haven’t seen in the Assassin’s Creed franchise. The name says it all and in the beginning, you will be placed in cold Norway but the storyline will switch to England because you won’t have an idea what to do with your clan in Norway.

Moving to England is actually a good part of the game because you will explore England, collect loot, solve problems, and climb everything possible. It may seem like the other expansions had better design because the locations are more interesting but it turns out that the mechanics and quests can be very appealing.

If you watched the Viking series, you will feel like you are in it because some things feel the same. For example, you will raid villages by blowing a horn as they did in the series and you will switch between ways of fighting. Sometimes you will use two swords or axes like some characters. Don’t get discouraged in the beginning because it takes a couple of hours to get things going.

Deathloop

Deathloop was a huge surprise for the PS5 fans because it has some amazing graphics and very interesting gameplay. As the same says, your main character named Colt is in a time loop where the goal is to figure out how to get out of it. There are 8 Visionaries that you have to kill every time you start over.

Killing the same characters may seem like a very boring thing especially if you are going through the same scenarios but they added a great twist. The Visionaries will change their locations every time and you will need to do a lot of investigations to find them on time. It’s an FPS game so you can expect to do both investigating and shooting.

Ratchet and Clank

Another PS5 game that has to be on the list, Ratchet brings PS5 graphics and gameplay to the test. It’s a game where you will spend a lot of time playing around instead of finishing the game. If you don’t like hard-core games and you want to have fun, this is probably the best option out there.

You don’t need experience playing other expansions so it will be fun for those playing it for the first time. It takes around 20 hours to finish but you can get new skins and use cheats when playing again.

Returnal

If you like difficult gameplay, aliens, time loops, and shooting all in one, it’s a perfect choice for you. It’s hard to choose between this game and Deathloop but there are major differences. It can be annoying in the beginning when you don’t know what to do, but once you figure out how to beat more difficult opponents, you will respect the loop.

Like in Deathloop where Visionaries change places each time you die, things are randomized in Returnal after each death. It can be fun even after you play it twice just because you won’t go through the same things as the other runs.
