Hype Magazine Interviews Chike Ozah & Coodie Simmons For “jeen-yuhs: A Kanye Trilogy”

Almost two weeks ago, our Netflix family graced us with the opportunity to watch the new jeen-yuhs: A Kanye Trilogy Netflix documentary directed by Coodie & Chike. jeen-yuhs is described as a landmark documentary event that is presented in three acts that collectively showcase an intimate and revealing portrait of Kanye West’s experience, showcasing both his formative days trying to break through and his life today as a global brand and artist. Today “ACT I: VISION” finally dropped on Netflix and as the experience aims to chronicle 21 years of West’s life and legacy within the coming weeks, we were further fortunate enough to be giving couple of minutes to chat with the documentary’s visionaries Coodie & Chike via an online video call. We have three acts: Act 1 is Vision, Act II is Purpose and Act III is Awakening. I had to have a vision. So when I ran into Kanye in Chicago and I saw how charismatic he was and how energetic and talented that he was, I’m like, “That was the vision.” I’m like, “OK.” – Coodie
