Here’s another quick #BeautyOfBlend peek into South Africa’s diverse cultures and how they all impact on and evolve each other in collaboration with Tullamore D.E.W. Irish Whiskey. Francesco Mbele aka Franadilla is a man-of-all-work who has influences/experiences in Photography, Creative Directing, Film-making Styling and other roles that ultimately encapsulate him as an all-rounder creative consultant.
Now you should know that those that continuously strive to not only make a name for themselves but play their part in progressing the creative spaces found within South Africa understand that it takes more than what you think you should know to execute. Franadilla’s presence in Youth & creative culture is one that has solidified itself amongst the activators and visionaries that are playing those mentioned important (known and unknown) roles of development… I mean just look at his diverse catalog of work as Franadilla and as a founder of Franasonic... This is why he features on this #BeautyofBlend editorial highlight.
Could you briefly tell us who you are and what you do.
My name is Francesco Mbele and I am a creative consultant.
What is your belief in the benefits of blending cultures and perspectives?
It is imperative to sort of diversify and combine many sorts of, I’m not sure how to say it… Different perspectives into different art forms/ mediums because that’s the truest way to create something new. And that’s how we push the culture, that’s how we push new ideas.
So what goes through your mind when you think of the phrase ‘Beauty Of Blend’?
What goes through my mind when I think of the phrase ‘beauty of blend’, definitely has to do with all these different contrasting, saturated, unsaturated colors and textures/patterns coming together. Just creating something new and incredible.
