#AIRMAXDAY 2021

IT’S AIR MAX DAY!

#BringtheFutureToLight

Every year, on the 26th day of the month of March the global sneaker community from all over the world traditionally gathers up to celebrate Nike’s most innovative, historical, and loved Air Max Day!

For several years now, Nike has been using Air Max Day to not only launch some new sneaker models but also to highlight inspiring narratives that resonate with the brand’s adopted ethos. This year, South Africa celebrates the historic day by spotlighting Young Africans that are shaping and influencing popular culture through their contributions to Music, Fashion, Arts, Social Activism, and more.

WE SEE YOU

Africa’s time is indeed now and it’s for that very reason that we take the time to recognize those that are inspiring generations worth of other young Africans that are on the path to success irrespective of background, identity, or difference. Since our (HYPE Magazine) roots are in storytelling, it was quite clear-cut that we present this year’s #AIRMAXDAY in some storytelling form by using the #BringtheFutureToLight message to be in tune with the likes of DBN Gogo, Yanga Chief, Amonge Sinxoto (from Blackboard Africa), Lelowhatsgood and Kabelo Moremi (aka Lil Frat) to not only broadcast their tales but have them list others with similar inspirational narratives.
