Zimbabwean-Ethiopian rapper Hanna’s latest single ‘The Girl In The Durag’ has just dropped on all major streaming platforms today. The drill-influenced track is the first single off of her upcoming mixtape of the same name. Catchy, energetic, and lyrically powerful, the single exudes confidence and resilience, showcasing her growth as an artist.
Due for release on 9 October, you can now pre-save Hanna’s EP on Apple Music. The Girl In The Durag is said to be centred around the story of her biggest career break in 2019, a year which catapulted her into the social media spotlight, where she has since solidified herself as a force within hip hop. This month she graced our cover and was officially inducted into the Freshman Class of 2019.
Representing Hanna at the peak of her game, the EP is also said to be full of pivotal verses and a diverse myriad of her experiences and sonic identities.
And to celebrate today’s release and her upcoming EP, Hanna has officially launched her own Instagram and Facebook filters. So you can actually turn your own photos into her EP cover by searching ‘Girl In The Durag’ in the filter section of both apps.
