Sony has reportedly been planning a PlayStation 5 game event for June 3rd which is next week Wednesday. After they revealed the controller the gaming world blew up and recently there was a report by Bloomberg that said that Sony’s virtual event is planned for next week but that “plans have been in flux and that the day may change.” Sony is said to be focusing on games for this PS5 event and is not expected to “reveal every essential detail” on the console during the first event, so just possibly just a launch game title…

Sony has so far unveiled PS5 specs, a logo, and of course the new wireless controller for its next-gen console. Sony has not yet shown off what the PlayStation 5 looks like yet, and it’s still not clear if the company will do so next week.

The PS5 will feature a custom eight-core AMD Zen 2 CPU clocked at 3.5GHz (variable frequency) and a custom GPU based on AMD’s RDNA 2 architecture hardware that promises 10.28 teraflops and 36 compute units clocked at 2.23GHz (also variable frequency).
