MUZI Announces Highly Anticipated 3rd Album ‘ZENO’

After the local and international success of Afrovision (2018), ZENO becomes MUZI’s third album offering to his global audience of loyal fans. Having filled venues all over the world including Switzerland, France, Germany, USA, and the UK, the producer / DJ returns home to South Africa ahead of the worldwide release of his album on October 11, 2019. An !K7 / WE.THE.BUNDU release, ZENO presents itself as a new, defining level in the artist’s unmistakable brand of modern African music.

ZENO was written, recorded and produced mostly in South Africa with MUZI creating the album’s finishing touches while on tour in the States. The album’s sonics reveal the direct influence of his Kwa-Zulu Natal upbringing. The proudly Zulu artist hails from a township in Empangeni, North of Durban; the place where MUZI first conceived of his place in music. Having soaked up the sounds of the time, he now expertly blends together cutting edge urban and electronic music with local genres like Maskandi, Kwaito, Iscathamiya and South African Bubblegum Pop of the 80s and 90s.

This album continues to be a demonstration of MUZI’s ahead-of-the-game musical output. Listener’s will again experience him in all his glory as a songwriter, composer, vocalist and producer accompanied by select features from a few of South Africa’s exciting new talents.

ZENO includes recent single Good Vibes Only featuring one of SA’s freshest talents, Espacio Dios with more singles set to drop, next up being ‘Phuma’ (Bad Self). The album’s 11 October global release date is right in time for South Africa’s Summer season of new music and festivities which will see MUZI make an anticipated return to the Rocking the Daisies stage in Cape Town and perform at Black Coffee’s Music is King Festival in Johannesburg and Durban in December.
