It’s been exactly 8 months since Ambitiouz entertainment’s Sjava has made history. The Grammy-nominated artist finally gets handed the most coveted award of his career as it touches the South African soil- his BET Best International Act. It was the 24th of June 2018 when Sjava received the Viewer’s Choice: Best International Act award at Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles. Yesterday, at the Viacom Office, the handover of the award took place and in attendance were Sjava’s management and Ambitiouz team.
Sjava also had an opportunity to perform at this year’s Oscars alongside SZA but unfortunately, the Black Panther performance was cancelled. The 34-year-old continues to fly the South African flag up high with the support of the nation. The award was handed over to him by Monde Twala, BET’s Vice President, Youth and Music, Viacom International Media Networks Africa alongside Alex Okosi who is the Executive Vice President and Managing director at the Viacom International Media Networks Africa.
“I really thought that we were not going to make it because of the data crisis that we had in the country, I thought my people were not going to be able to vote for me, but they did so thank you very much” – Sjava
