Arcade Content’s Kyle Lewis has released his first international music video since signing to Black Dog Films for representation in the UK. Black Dog Films, the music video arm of RSA Films (Ridley Scott & Associates), also reps the likes of multiple Grammy and MTV VMA winner Jonas Akerlund. ‘Boy In The Picture’ is Kyle’s music video for house legend Kid Crème and Jolyon Petch, the first New Zealander to top Australia’s ARIA club charts. The “infectious, glimmering” pop song features vocals from Sian Evans, the multi-platinum former Kosheen lead singer.
Filmed over three days in Cape Town with Arcade Content, Kyle’s music video follows a destitute young boy as he salvages stuffed animals from a dump before escaping to a kingdom of teddies. MTV UK featured ‘Boy In The Picture’ in their ‘Hottest Music Videos’ section, while leading global trade Shots wrote, “Every kids’ dreams are answered in this teddy-heavy promo.”
This is just the latest in a string of high-profile music videos for Kyle: Destiny, his sci-fi Cassper Nyovest music video with Goapele, trended at number one on YouTube in August in South Africa, while Alikiba Seduce Me became the fastest Tanzanian music video to reach one million views (in just 38 hours) and now has over five million views on YouTube in just three weeks online.
