Congratulations to Maftown’s own Fifi Cooper on the release of her debut solo album 20Fifi.
For those of you who may only have caught on to the young emcee recently from the string of features she’s been murdering, you’ll be surprised to know that at the age of twenty-three Ms. Cooper is a refined singer and lethal rapper with writing credits on Khuli Chana’s Lost In Time, Mo Molemi’s albums Motzamai-Rebel Without A Pause and Asia, and has been a majour fixture in her hometown Montshioa in Mahikeng since she was around sixteen.
Today it culminates with nods from the O.G’s in the form of features and co-signs, as well as general respect.
The full length track album is prophetic in that the titles plays on the year ‘2015’ being her year, and she proved it. There are also exactly fifteen tracks on the album, so you gotta tip your hat to her for following through conceptually.
