Legendary producer and songwriter Quincy Jones sat down with Kendrick Lamar so the Compton rapper would gain more wisdom about the legend.
The 27 time Grammy award winner touches on how damaging it is for people who don’t know where hip hop came from and emphasizes on how important it is to know about those who came before us. Well, we can’t disagree with that.
On the flipside, Kendrick taps into memories of Quincy in the studio with the late Micheal Jackson, asking him what it was like and shares what he learned. “I learned a few years ago that a great song could make the worst singer a star” he said. “and a bad song cannot be saved by the best singers in the world” he went on to say.
