Not only will 31 October 2015 be a special day for Nyovest because he will attempt to be the first urban local act to fill up the Coca Cola Dome venue in Johannesburg without an international act present, now he has added to the day by making it the debut of his long awaited sophomore album Refiloe (Cassper Nyovest’s real first name).
This morning the Maftown prince took to his social media pages to premiere that never before seen album artwork, as well as announce the release date. The cover, like the name of the album, is kept personal, showing a cartoon stylized image of presumably Cassper as a baby, with old skool black and white images of him and his family in the background.
Seeing as the his first album Tsholofelo had the kind of run we’ve never seen in SA hip hop history, it is interesting to see how this second one will pan out. Nyovest is clearly holding nothing back.
