Seems as though the xenophobic attacks have just gone too far and some of our hip hop artists aren’t too pleased with this. AKA and Cassper took to social media to express their disappointment with SA recently over the xenophobic attacks in South Africa.
The rappers both have performances in different parts of Africa and some countries are actually petitioning to have these artists cancel their shows. “Headed to Nigeria, Ghana and Tanzania shortly….And for the first time I’ll be ashamed of my South African passport” AKA tweeted.
Artists from different parts have now come together to release a track aimed at encouraging peace and unity in Durban, South Africa. The hip hop collaboration titled ‘UNITY’, features eight artists from South Africa (Prinston, Flavour B and M’chine), Zimbabwe (Cashbid and Epic Minds), Uganda (Sue Anique), Tanzania (Sham Sila) and Zambia (Shishi).
