It’s #ThrowbackThursday time, HYPE fam and today’s feature is as poetically justified as it is dope!
Recently, Flabba featured on DJ Slique’s ‘Do Like I Do’ and its remix, which he had the opportunity to perform this past Saturday at the AxcessJozi concert alongside L-Tido, Kwesta, Riky Rick and Nadia Nakai. JR revealed yesterday at his memorial that he and Flabba we working on a joint venture to produce a 2015 Flabba project. The big homie was also working on music with Kwesta at the time of his death.
But Flabba was a force in music (beyond Skwatta Kamp) way before the new kids embraced him. Today’s #ThrowbackThursday is one of the singles from his Best Rap Album SAMA winning album in 2007. Featuring fellow band member Infa, Flabba produced a banger of joint in the form of ‘Bo Fatshe‘.
His album Nkuli VS Flabba, spewed some mild controversy because of its coarseness and uncensored ‘hood’ aesthetic. It widely regarded as one of the key influential projects to bring vernacular, street rap to a commercial environment. R.I.P to a legend. Watch the ‘Bo Fatshe’ video below:
