After teasing us on social media with the prospect of a star-studded remix, Blaklez finally drops the heater he promised us last week. His heavily personal 2014 single ‘Freedom of Fame’ did the rounds on radio and television and enjoyed a deserved awesome public reception. The remix, now with the addition of Motif’s Reason and Soweto’s prodigal son Pro, doesn’t stray far away from the original; with all three artists bearing personal accounts of their inner-battles with fame.

Reason took to Instagram to speak on why the song meant so much to him:

So… Blaklez invited me and Pro over to bless the #FreedomOrFameRemix this past Friday. Somehow, this song has made me realize how many problems I actually have with #Fame. I personally don’t even consider myself that famous, but the little popularity that I have has taken away much of the #freedoms that so-called “ordinary people” have and don’t know. Needless to to say, I wrote from the heart. We all did. And I really hope you like it.
