On 6 December, Heineken hosted the final Open Jozi event at The Sands in Sandton. The event was held off the back of Heineken having produced a range of limited-edition City bottles, each one featuring one of six global cities: New York, Shanghai, Rio de Janeiro, London, Amsterdam and Johannesburg. An award-winning AKA and producer and mixtape legend DJ Envy collaboration bringing New York City and Johannesburg together was the product of this event. With hits such as “Run Jozi” and “Do It”, AKA continues to impress people and out do himself. DJ Envy described the event as “An awesome way to bring a bit of New York to Jozi, and Jozi to the world.”
