Following a host of setbacks and record label delays, Azealia Banks has announced that her long awaited album Broke With Expensive Taste will be dropping in the second quarter of 2015 under Universal Music Group. We hope that she brings it because her nemesis Iggy Azalea is murking the scene right now – unless Nicki Minaj’s upcoming album The Pinkprint will kill all the competition when it drops on 15 December – which is a week after her label mate Weezy drops The Carter V (9 Dec).
It’s official. Tis the season to release. The heat is on!
Bringing the heat will no doubt be Rick Ross, who’s going for his second release of the year when Hood Billionaire drops on 25 November according to Def Jam Recordings. The album’s first single being of course ‘Keep Doing That (Rich Chick)’ featuring R Kelly. We have obtained the apparent artwork – check it out for yourself and let us know what you think —————->
And bringing it home, while we wait with baited breath to see who the Rap contenders are for the SAMA awards next year, our bet is that the nominees list will include AKA, Cassper, K.O, DA L.E.S and possibly Duncan. The judges are gonna have their work cut out for them! Who we don’t think will get a nod is Nemza from Skwatta Kamp. Not because we’re hating, but perhaps he missed the deadline date with his new album Destiny which is only being released on iTunes on 16 November.
Other exciting releases to look out for include:
Big K.R.I.T – Cadillactica – 11 November
Tyga – The Gold Album: 18th Dynasty – 18 November
Havoc – Thirteen Reloaded – 18 November
Eminem & Various Artists – SHADYXV – 24 November
Wu-Tang Clan – A Better Tomorrow – 2 December
DJ Premier & Royce Da 5’9″ – PRhyme – 9 December
