Riky Rick can’t seem to set a foot wrong lately. As the only official SA ambassador for Ben Sherman clothing, newest Motif Records signee, independent music producer, video director, Boyznbucks crew member, and unofficial CEO of the Beard Gang Illuminati, things seem to be coming together for the KwaMashu (KZN) born, J-sec-based rapper.
Coming off a successful run with the first single from his upcoming album, ‘Amantombazane‘, Riky is back at it with another internet scorcher. As you would have guessed from the title and the song’s use of an image of infamous former Ugandan preseident Idi Amin, the song has a certain mean streak and it’s no surprise that the lyrics on the joint are from the kind of politically correct, lighthearted stuff you can jam with your oupa around. Riky asserts his team’s position in the game rapping “/ Ehlis’ umoya, uDlala ngenKani/ Actually udume ngani/ LesiStayela sakho Siduma ngami/ LeBathu Lakho lidume ngami/ Boyzin Bucks vir maak a plan/ Kohlwa amaJordan we finished with that/ Bopha amaHit, studio mix/ Panda amaShow actually ngidingi Imali yo/”.
In the song, Riky introduces the term, “Nafukwa”, which is also the alternative name of the song. He has been quoted as saying “Nafukwa is a new word. It’s Boyznbucks language meaning “Do it! As Africans we need to create our own sound and our own movements.”
The song is produced by the beat wizard trio, Ganja Beatz and is rumoured to have a video dropping soon.
