Born on this day in 1979, the late Aaliyah would’ve celebrated her 35th birthday if it were not for her tragic and premature death in a plane crash in 2001 after shooting her music video for ‘Rock The Boat’.

The Brooklyn beauty sold over 30 million albums worldwide in her career which started for her at age 12.
