Khuli Chana Survives Shooting
Radio 702 have reported that earlier this morning, the MotswakOriginator Khuli Chana was shot at by policemen in an unmarked vehicle in Midrand.
Khuli was on his way to a performance in Pretoria when he stopped at the Caltext garage on New Road in Midrand for some coffee and was fired at in a case of “mistaken identity”, according to SAPS spokesperson Neville Malila.
Malila says that his men were following up a kidnapping case at the time and Khuli’s car matched the description of the perpetrator’s.
“The money was to be dropped off was to be dropped off at this garage out in Midrand and the vehicle the rapper was driving fitted the description of the suspect’s vehicle,” saya Malila.
The boys in blue have since released a stament claiming that they fired two warning shots and only opened fire on Khuli’s Beamer after he ignored the warning but Khuli has denied this and in turn, opened a case against the SAPS for attempted murder.

Khuli sustained minor injuries in his hand but for the most part is fine and recovering at home now. But Dreamteam manager Refiloe Ramogase is furious about the callous nature of the police and is only getting started, saying this morning on Talk Radio 702 “We will not be quiet about this.”
An angered Towdeemac pretty much summed up our sentiments regarding police tardiness on his Twitter profile this morning in a single, sublime statement:
“An old #NWA song comes to mind…”
We’re just glad the ‘ol dude is okay. KONKA to CONQUER!
Make sure to hit up Khuli Chana’s management’s Twitter account ( @Dreamteamtalent ) with your messages of encouragement.
