On Friday afternoon tour promoters Airey Scott and Miller Genuine Draft anounced that the Miller Boomtown presents Kendrick Lamar SA Tour has been postponed to February 2014. The tour would’ve taken place in November with fans already booking to get front row seats at the most anticipated concert of the year. The tour had to be postponed because Lamar recently agreed to support Kanye West on his upcoming US tour (which coincided with the original SA tour dates) following the release of the Yeezus album. According to promoters this was an opportunity that Lamar could not pass by and will only add value to his already Platinum selling “good kid, m.A.A.d. city” album.
The new South African dates will be as follows:
Wavehouse, Durban February 28th
JHB Stadium, Johannesburg March 1st
Bellville Velodrome, Cape Town March 2nd
Fans that have already purchased tickets for November have the option to either return their tickets for a full refund, or to exchange their tickets at a Computicket outlet for the new concert dates in February & March.
Airey Scott and Miller Genuine Draft apologise for any inconvenience caused, and are excited to welcome Kendrick Lamar to SA in February & March next year.
