Hosted by C-Live & Slim, the Sprite Uncontainable finale went down this past Sunday at Zone 6, Diepkloof in Soweto. Jam-packed with entertainment, dope live performers and heated competition rounds for the contestants, this was truly a spectacular hip hop display of the elements coming together to keep the spirit of the culture alive.
The Atlanta Hawks dunk squad was a huge crowd puller, with the guys performing gravity defying tricks. The NBA had representation at the event as part of their Basketball Without Borders campaign which coincided with the event.
PRO and iFani killed it on stage with other live acts that included Teargas, Khuli Chana, SFS, Vigi, Dimplez, Raiko, P-Kuttah, Ms Cosmo. It was a crazy night, with non-stop action. But at the end of it all, it was really about crowing the best MC, graffiti writer and dancer. Taking it home for the MCs, Tony Shabangu AKA Fudge freestyled his way to victory, while Pastel Heart from Cape Town took the graffiti title. In the dance category it was Tarryn Alberts from Eldorado Park who danced her way to the crown. Big ups to Sprite for putting it all together and shout outs to the winners, y’all were truly deserving.
