There must be something in the new batches of that Cali Kush that all the rappers are blowing on because the trend in rapper hospitalizations in the past year is soaring faster than Rick Ross’ cholesterol . While we’re on the subject of Rick Ross, the Dade County rapper was one of the first to give fans a scare when he experienced two consecutive seizures last year which he later dismissed as a “minor setback” despite being hospitalised for a few days following the event. Then in October last year it was reported that a private jet transporting Weezy was forced to make an emergency landing in Texas after the rapper showed seizure-like symptoms. Earlier this year, New York rapping legend, Tim Dog, died after experiencing a seizure supposedly linked to his long time battle with diabetes. Supposedly.
Most recently, this past Friday, TMZ reported that Wayne was admitted to the emergency ward of a California hospital after suffering two seizures. Despite the rumours of Weezy’s brush with death and the ‘Weep For Weezy’ hashtag circling on Twitter, his publicist has released the briefest of statements reassuring us that Wayne is in fact gravy, saying “Lil Wayne is doing well.” TMZ recorded footage of Nicki Minaj arriving at the hospital to visit the Young Money general and CNN have confirmed Drake, Birdman and other Young Money personnel spending the night hospital to be with their Fuhrer. Mac Maine later tweeted: “Wayne is alive and well! We watching the Syracuse game…thanks for the prayers and concern..he will update you all soon. #love”
Of course they would say that he collapsed as a result of “dehydration and lack of rest” and not mention the fact that dude is known to be quite the pill popper and sizzurp sipper… we’re not judging though. We’re just glad we get a few more years of Louisiana Monster in our speakers. Besides, considering that Drake probably cries himself to sleep every time he breaks a nail, we don’t think that his pretty little heart would be able to take a death.
Weezy is set to release I Am Not A Human Being 2 this April.
