Nicki Minaj hits reality TV

The YMCMB queen, Nicki Minaj, is set to star her own reality TV show. The singer’s enthusiastic stage character and sexualised songs have made her one of the most popular artists of the new millennium. The ‘Starship’ hit maker recently unveiled as one of the American Idols judges is said to have begun filming a FLY ON THE WALL documentary series for the E! Network earlier this week.

Speaking about her stint as a judge on Idols, the rapper says: “This is such a credible brand. It’s really serious, it’s real deal and it’s not anything else other than really looking for talent. If I can be a part of that I’m really down for it.”

A fan of the show herself, Minaj says the moment she’ll never forget about the show is when Jordin Sparks won. “I remember watching American Idol in the first season and feeling inspired.” She went on to say “I spoke to Jordin Sparks the other day and here she is starring in a movie [Sparkle] and I said to her, ‘I remember watching you and picking up my phone.” She is not on her own though, Mariah Carey and the show’s judging stalwart Randy Jackson will complete the line-up of the judges’ panel, with Jackson remaining the sole survivor of American Idols eleven previous seasons
